瞿秋白は陳独秀の要請で革命ロシアでのジャーナリスト生活を終え, 帰国して中共指導者に転じた。その陳独秀の失脚後, 中共指導者となった瞿秋白はその後, スターリン派党中央から排除された。以後, 左翼文化運動で活躍, 魯迅と親交を持った。1933年に編集した『魯迅雑感選集』への「序言」は, 左翼的魯迅像の嚆矢として, 毛沢東の魯迅観に大きな影響を与えた。本研究ではこの「序言」の歴史的評価を定位することにあったが, 本年度は以下のような実績を残した。 1. まず, 新版『瞿秋白文集』第6巻のテキストによって, 日本語新訳を試み, これを1936年の鹿地亘・日高清麿瑳訳, 及び1952年の金子二郎訳と比較検討した。その結果, 前者はかなりの誤訳を含み, 後者は訳文こそ前者より優れているが, 当時の研究の制約もあり, 付注においては不足点が目立つことがわかった。新訳の必要性が明らかになったのである。 2. さらに, 当初の研究計画にはなかったのであるが, 瞿秋白研究, 現代中国文学研究, 中共党史研究の上で, 謎となってきた瞿秋白の遺書「多余的話」について, 判明したことがあった。それは, 「中国の豆腐は最高だ」という, きわめて革命家瞿秋白らしからぬ最後の言葉が, 何に由来するかということである。本研究の結果, これは, 瞿秋白の妻, 楊之華の小説「豆腐阿姐」と関係があるのではないかということである。この小説の原稿は魯迅が目を通したものであり, 掲載誌『北斗』第2巻第2期(1932年5月)に掲載されたが, この号には, 瞿秋白, 魯迅が執筆し, さらに彼らと親しい共産党員の文学者, 馮雪峰がこの小説の批評を書いているのである。つまり, 「豆腐」という記号は, 残された楊之華, 魯迅, 馮雪峰らに『北斗』の当該号を想起させる役割を持ったはずで, この記号によって, 瞿秋白は彼らに別れを告げたという可能性が見えてくるのだ。 3. 1に関しては, 瞿秋白の「序言」を含む瞿秋白編『魯迅雑感選集』の新訳日本語版を平凡社から出版する計画を企画中である。2に関しては, 現在論文を準備中である。周辺事項を含め, 今年度中に刊行する予定である。 I translated Qu's preface to "Lu Xun's Selected Essays" by the new text contained in the "Qu Qiubai's Selected Works of Literature" Vol.6.And I tried to compare it with the two previous Japanese versions.One of them proved to have many uncorrect points and the other proved to be lack of notes that should have had. Moreover,I found the mystery of Qu Qiubai's will. I am going to publish the new Japanese version of "Lu Xun's Selected Essays" containing Qu's preface and to write an article about Qu Qiubai's will to solve the mystery in it.
