• Note (General): type:text; 本研究は, 日本社会における地方紙の役割に関する考察を試みたものである。 昨年度は, 日本の安全保障政策と対立する沖縄の米軍基地の問題(琉球新報, 沖縄タイムズ)主な対象に調査を実施した。両紙を対象に, 報道, 解説, 論評について紙面分析とニュース・バリューなどに関する調査を行った。また, 両紙の記者に対してインタビュー調査も行った。こうした調査を通じて, 「国益」と「地方益」のはざまにある地方紙の記者, 編集者の意識について考察を加えた。 今年度は, 戦争の記憶の継承に関して地方紙が果たす役割について調査研究を行った。その際, その役割が全国メディアとどの点が共通し, 異なるかという問題に焦点をあわせて行った。 具体的には鹿児島の南日本新聞を扱い, この新聞が特攻基地・知覧についてどのような報道を行ってきたかについて, ジャーナリズム論, および現実の社会的構築・構成といった視点から検討してみた(加えて共同通信社の鹿児島支局の記者と, 知覧特攻平和会館の語り部の方にもインタビューを行い, 参考とした)。 南日本新聞の記者を対象とした調査の主な項目は以下のとおりである。 1. 取材体制。 2. 記事・紙面の制作過程(「特集」「連載」の決定過程を含め)。 3. 社論形成にあたっての社内の意思統一。 4. 記者教育。 5. 特攻が反戦平和のシンボルとして扱われることについて。 6. 県民感情への評価(特攻や戦争の認識に関する世代間の相違など) これらの調査を通じて, 戦争の記憶の継承に関して地方紙が果たす役割について, 一定の成果を得ることができた。また, 戦争の記憶に関する全国紙との差異に関する検討を行うための資料も得ることができた。 This research tries to reconsider local paper's roles in Japan. I already researched this subject in Okinawa (Ryukyu Shimpo and Okinawa Times, 2016-17. Because there has been serious conflicts between national interests and local interests, especially regarding American Military Base. I analyzed some reports, explanation and comments of the two local papers about American Military Base and Memory of the War. At the same time I interviewed some reporters and editors. At the results of it I have some interesting findings about their consciousness and opinion, in particular conflicts between national interests and local interests. I have researched the roles of local papers about remembrance and accession of collective memories about the Second World War, 2017-18. I focused the similarities and differences the functions between national papers and local papers. I called on MinamiNihon-Shmbun (Kagoshima) and interviewed the reporters and editors about the war, especially suicide attacks and 'Chiran Peace Museum for Kamikaze Pilots'. I analyzed the reports about the museum and how they have contributed to the remembrance and succession of the war from the perspectives of some theories of Journalism and social construction of reality and history. I asked them some questions as below. 1. Coverage System. 2. News Making Process (including Feature and Serial) 3. Agreement Process of Official Editorial Viewpoint. 4. Training for Reporters. 5. Suicide Attack as Symbol for Peace and Anti-War. 6. Opinion or Evaluation about Attitude and Feeling among the Local People (Perception Difference (ie. between Generations) of Suicide Attack and the War. (In addition I had interview with a reporter of Kyodo-Press (Kagoshima-branch) and a story-teller of the museum.) I have obtained useful results about local paper's roles about remembrance and succession of war. And I have got some interesting materials for considering the difference between national papers and local papers about collective memories about war.
