• Note (General): type:text; 本研究プロジェクトの一年目である平成28年度は, 戦後第二世代の作家クリストフ・ランスマイアーによる戦後小説『キタハラ病』およびW. G. ゼーバルト『移民』を主たる対象として研究をおこない, 口頭発表を行い, 論文を執筆した。それによって, 本研究プロジェクトの土台を築くことができた。 それをふまえて二年目である平成29年度は, 一人一人の作家を個別に論じるのみではなく, 複数の作家による同テーマの作品を比較的に観察することによって, より多角的に考察することをめざした。ベルンハルト・シュリンクのベストセラー小説『朗読者』とハンス・ウルリヒ=トライヒェルの自伝的小説『失踪者』は, 本研究にとってとくに貴重な研究対象である。これらの作品を視野に入れることによって, 戦後第二世代の戦後ドイツ像を, これまで以上に多面的かつ立体的にとらえることが可能になった。 また, 本研究を進める過程で, 第二世代と第三世代の戦後ドイツ像の違いにも着目する必要が生じてきた。第三世代による戦後ドイツ像は, たとえばフェルディナント・フォン・シーラッハ『コリーニ事件』やティムール・ヴェルメシュ『帰ってきたヒトラー』によって代表される。これらは明らかに第二世代とは異なる戦後ドイツ像を示している。 今年度はさらに, 記憶や証言をめぐる理論的な考察を深める努力を行った。とくにジョルジョ・アガンベンの『アウシュヴィッツの残りのもの』におけるアーカイヴと証言者の理論, およびディディ=ユベルマン『イメージ, それでもなおーアウシュヴィッツからもぎ取られた四枚の写真』における写真論は, アウシュヴィッツという極限状態の想起の可能性/不可能性について考察する際に出発点となった。 三年目である平成30年度には, ポスト冷戦時代の戦後像というテーマについて, 日本とドイツの比較という観点まで含めた考察を行う予定である。 In the first year of this research project, I studied postwar stories by Christoph Ransmayr and W. G. Sebald. These authors belong to the second-generation postwar writers in the German-speaking countries. I wrote a paper on their works, specially focused on Ransmayr's "The Dog King" and Sebald's "The Emigrants". This paper is a foundation for the research project in the following year. In the second year, I tried to study German literature in the post-Cold War era not only in individual cases but also on comparison between multiple authors. In this way it became possible to understand German literature by the second-generation postwar writers from various points of view. Bernhard Schlink's best-selling novel "The Reader" and Hans-Ulrich Treichel's autobiographical novel "Lost" are particularly valuable subjects for this research. In this year I also attempted to develop a theory of memory and testimony. I referred especially to Giorgio Agamben's "Remnants of Auschwitz : The Witness and the Archive" and Georges Didi-Huberman's "Images malgré tout". These theoretical works are based on the memory and the testimony of Auschwitz's extreme condition, which no one can express in words or in images. Their theories of the impossibilities or the difficulties to remember and testify are fundamental to the research of German literature by the second-generation postwar writers who don't know the catastrophe of the Second World War from their own experiences.
