3年目の最終年度を迎え, 全体をコンパクトにまとめなおした版がA4二段組102頁程度(136, 297文字)で, ほぼ出来上がっている。成果物を作成し, 出版に直接結びつけるため, 前半の編集確認を三尾が行い, 学外の研究協力者の所澤潤教授(東京未来大学こども心理学部教授)がコンパクト化をはかった結果である。ただ, オーラルヒストリー作成時には避けることのできない客観的な事実関係とご本人(羽生道雄氏)の記憶の間の不一致あるいはご本人の記憶のあいまいさについて, 病身の羽生氏のサポートをされているご子息を交えての確認作業は現在も続けられている。全体の記載方法について確定した上, 公開できる最終版を目指している。構成は, 第一部尖石在住の時期, 第二部竹東小学校時代, 第三部疎開地・大隘という三部よりなる。この構成からもわかるように, 現段階でまとめ得たものは, 台湾におけるご本人の経験と敗戦後の日本に帰国するまでの詳細な経緯, それから, 回想をまじえたその後の人生への波及状況である。この研究においての特筆すべき成果は, これまでも強調してきたとおり, 1990年代以降, エリートにより執筆されたものが多いオーラルヒストリーのなかで, ①子どもの目線からではあるが, 「台湾の現地の人々と直接的, 日常的な接触のあった現場の警察官と台湾の人々との間にどのような関係が築かれていたのか,」について明確に語られていることである。また, それは, ②これまであまりオーラルヒストリーが収集されていない先住民地域の日本人警察官家族と先住民との関係によって具体的に語られている部分があること, ③その後の敗戦によって, 日本帰国を余儀なくされるが, その後も台湾での経験が, 当事者の人生に大きな影響を与えられたことが明確に語られていること, などの点である。これまでの植民地経験についての研究では触れられてこなかった視点からの新たな資料提示がなされたわけである。今後は, ご本人の最終的な確認が終了次第, 台湾で生まれ引き揚げに至るまでを先に公開する予定である。戦後・現代の部分(後半)については, 台湾の地名に附随した記載箇所をより厳密に確認し, 本文に挿入することを中心にした仕上げ作業が継続中であるが, この点も早急に仕上げ, ご本人の確認を取っていきたい。 The purpose of this research is to organize and publish the oral history of a Japanese who spent his childhood in the indigenous population area of Taiwan. The final version of A4 two-column set about 102 pages (136,297 characters) has been almost completed. Currently, I am doing verification work about the discrepancy between objective facts and the memory of the person himself (Mr. Michio Hanyu). As soon as the final confirmation is completed, the first part of his life history (from his birth to the withdrawal from Taiwan to Japan) will be published.
