• Note (General): type:text; 人の容貌や外見の印象がもたらす影響は大きい。「他人を外見で判断してはならない」と理解していても, 相手の性格や経済力までもその容貌から判断する傾向にある。しかし, その情報や手がかりが利用される場面は, 状況や文脈によって異なる。本研究では, 顔の画像的特徴が他者にどのような印象を形成し, 容貌の魅力の程度がその人物の内面の推定にまで影響を与えるかを実験的に調べ, 容貌と印象の相互作用について検討した。 研究方法としては, 心理物理学的測定法を用いて, 実験的検討を行った。また, 顔に対する印象の度合いと顔の形態的特徴の対応関係に関する計算論的検討を行った。さらに, 過去の研究を踏まえた理論的研究を行った。 本研究では, 人は, 他者の顔の容貌に対する評価を行い, 個人の印象度合いが顔のどのような特徴に依存しているのかについて明らかにし(認知心理学会発表), 顔の魅力が強く注意を惹きつけ, 個人の行動において重要な手がかりとなり得ることなどを明らかにした(フレグランスジャーナル, など)。さらに, 人は無意識的に他者の顔の魅力を評価しえることなど(国際雑誌に投稿中)の成果を得ることができた。また, 刺激となる顔の提示位置が印象に与える影響についても検討し, さらに音声が提示される位置についても検討を行いつつある。 Impression of human facial appearance has a big influence to human's behavior. Even if we understand that we should not judge others by their appearance, human tend to judge the character and even economic power of the opponent from its appearance. However, information and clues obtained from the others' faces are used depending on circumstances and context. In this research, we experimentally and theoretically examined how facial feature forms the impression to others. As a research method, we carried out research using psychophysical measurement. In addition, a computational study was conducted on the correspondence between the degree of impression on the face and the morphological features of the face. Furthermore, we conducted a theoretical study based on past research including our empirical studies. In this study, in general, we found that a person evaluated the others' facial appearance, and clarified what kind of facial features related to the impression. Moreover, we found the face's appeal is strongly attracted attention, and unconsciously is able to evaluate the impression of the face of another person. We also examine the influence of the presentation position of the stimulus face on the impression, and we are also studying the position where the speech is presented.
