We were constantly aware of producing both group and individual outputs. As for the former, we held a one-day sympodium "World Literature Now" at Mita Campus, Keio University, on October 21, 2017. The purpose of the event was to rethink national literatures, such as English, American, French, Japanese, in terms of world literature, thereby producing an interactive vision of literary history. In addition to the specialists based in the Kansai area, we have invited Dr. Damian Flanagan, a world-known Japanologist, for the keynote lecture. Here is the program of the sympodium.
