本研究は、分子標的治療を受けるがん患者が自主的に安全、最適に治療を継続することを目指したがん患者イニシアチブ皮膚障害予防・管理プログラムを開発することである。本研究では、分子標的治療に伴う顔の皮膚障害に焦点化して調査を推進し、顔の皮膚障害が進行がん患者のQOLに影響していたことを明らかにした。また、進行がん患者の視点から皮膚障害の悪化予防と管理プログラムの要素を構造化した。皮膚障害を改善するために医療者からの積極的な専門的助言 (専門的な知識や情報) や難渋する症状の解決策を医療者が患者と協働して探す態度が自宅で奮闘する患者を支え、症状の悪化予防やマネジメントの継続を強化することが示唆された。 The aim of this study was to develop a patient-led program to prevent and manage dermatological adverse events (dAEs) to enable oncology patients treated with targeted therapy to continue safe and optimal treatment. The results of a focused examination of facial dAEs associated with targeted therapy suggest that dAEs affect the quality of life (QOL) of patients with advanced/metastatic cancer. We structured the program and examined the feasibility of prevention and management of dAEs based on the experience of patients with advanced/metastatic cancer. Proactive advice for improvement in the symptoms (and professional input and advice) is essential to enable patients to continue appropriate prevention and management of symptoms in their own homes.
