小児の腎腫瘍である腎明細胞肉腫では、non-canonical PRCの構成要素であるBCORの遺伝子内重複変異が特徴的である。他の肉腫等においても同遺伝子の変異や融合遺伝子が報告されている。本研究では、BCORの遺伝子内重複配列は、複数の細胞で明らかな形質転換能を示さず、腫瘍発生は、細胞環境に依存する可能性が高いと考えられた。一方、293細胞に過剰発現させると、エピジェネティクス関連分子を含む多数の遺伝子の発現が変化することが明らかになった。 Clear cell sarcoma of the kidney is a pediatric renal tumor and characterized by an intragenic duplication mutation of BCOR. The intragenic duplicated sequence of this gene showed no definite transformation ability in multiple cell lines, and transformation with this gene is likely to be dependent on the cellular context. However its overexpression in 293 cells changed gene expression, including several epigenetics related genes, and it was suggested that this gene might be involved in tumorigenesis.
