本研究では､2007年から行っている研究開発に関する調査､製品開発に関する調査を継続した｡トレンド分析の結果､研究開発に関しては､「海外でのR&Dの自律化と成果向上」の一方で､｢研究開発の高度化｣「ユーザーへの評価，対応の低下」「研究開発のオープン化の停滞」「技術や品質の強化の一方での開発スピードの低下」等が深刻化していることがわかった。製品開発については､「ユーザーとの関係の変化」「開発プロセスでの情報収集活動の低下」「製品の複雑化」｢社内での公募､情報共有の低下｣などの問題が重要化していることがわかった｡オープン･イノベーション､ユーザー･イノベーションに関する理論的考察と実証も行った｡ Following previous projects started in 2007, this study had conducted four years follow up of “Survey on R&D” and “Survey on New Product Development (NPD)” to Japanese manufactures. Through trend test, we found that although (1) efficiency of over-seas R&D has improved, (2) R&D in advanced technological field is getting more important, (3) lead time getting longer, (4) interaction with users is losing, and (5) reward for employee invention is decreasing. We also found that (1) NPD in advanced technological field is getting more important, (2) market intelligence activity and interaction with users is losing in NPD process, (3), and information sharing within firm is also weakened. Theoretical framework and hypotheses were developed and tested for Open innovation and User innovation.
