我々は超低出生体重児の腎臓で尿細管周囲毛細血管密度が低下することを報告した。本研究課題では、超低出生体重児に特有の腎臓の毛細血管新生を阻害している要因の解明を目的とした。超低出生体重児の加療で頻繁に使用される薬剤の一つに糖質コルチコイドがある。糖質コルチコイドが発達過程の血管にどのような影響を与えるのか調べた。糖質コルチコイドを生後からマウス仔に投与開始したところ、有意な腎毛細血管の減少が確認された。以上から、糖質コルチコイドは腎毛細血管発達に影響すると考えた。今後、さらなる研究を実施する予定である。 The cause of reduced peritubular capillary density (PCD) in the kidney was investigated. Glucocorticoid (GC), which is one of the most frequently used medicine in neonatology, was shown to reduce PCD when administered for neonatal mice. GC might be one of the major causes of reduced PCD in those who are born as extremely low birth weight infants.
