クモの造網行動に関わる神経受容体の拮抗剤の特定を目指し、神経伝達物質を中心に生理活性物質のクモ腹部へのインジェクションを行った後に造網行動の変化を追跡したが、実験系の効率に問題が生じるなど期間中に拮抗剤の推定には至れなかった。ただし、ネガティブな結果から造網行動に影響を与えない生理活性物質を複数特定することができた。また、野外においてアカクモヒメバチによるジョロウグモへの寄生の痕跡（ハチ成虫は確保し、クモの個体はすでになかったが網の特徴からジョロウグモと推定）および網操作の証拠が得られた。本種は亜科を超えてクモを利用でき、同種でも寄主が異なると大きく異なる行動操作を行っていることがわかった。 In order to identify the antagonists of the neuroreceptors involved in spider's web-building behavior, I observed the changes in behavior after injecting bioactive substances, mainly neurotransmitters, into the spider's abdomen, but I was unable to identify the antagonists during the study period due to problems with the efficiency of the injection system. However, several bioactive substances that did not affect the web-building behavior were identified from the negative results. I also found a spider-ectoparasitoid, Eriostethus rufus, which most probably parasitized a nephiline spider, Trichonephila clavata, supposed by several circumstantial evidences left in the modified web from which the wasp cocoon hung, in Tsuruoka city, Yamagata Prefecture. This is a new host record of the species and even among all spider-ectoparasitoids, and thus the first case of web manipulation against T. clavata.
