研究・教育集団としての大学は、ヒューマンセキュリティについても研究成果の具体的実践の先導拠点にならなければならない。本報告はこうした観点から、環境汚染の原因の1 つであるCO₂排出の削減の具体的モデルとして、太陽電池の導入に向けた基礎データを整理し、モデル作成の準備を試みる。具体的には、慶應義塾大学キャンパスのデータを用いた屋根置き型太陽電池導入効果分析を行った。分析はユーザーコストの理論を用いた費用分析と、環境分析用産業連関表を用いたCO₂排出削減効果分析の2つを行っている。この結果、現時点では太陽電池導入の費用は大きいが、屋根の7割の面積に太陽電池を設置した場合で、既存発電に比べ6.7％のCO₂削減効果を持つことが分かった。
