クロージング・パネル "Policy Innovations for Japan and Asia：Next Generation" では、前の3セッションにおける議論を踏まえた議論が行われた。梅垣理郎慶應義塾大学大学院政策・メディア研究科教授の司会の元、國領二郎慶應義塾大学大学院政策・メディア研究科教授、公文俊平多摩大学情報社会学研究所所長、広井良典千葉大学法経学部総合政策学科教授、イー・ヨンホ延世大学政治・国際関係学部准教授ら4名がそれぞれの見解を述べ、続いてフロアの発言者を交えたパネルディスカッションを展開した。本セッションでは、主に二点の課題が示された。第一には、現在の総合政策学が成立背景として、歴史的に要請されている社会構造の変化を踏まえることであり、第二には、政策のアクターに対する視点である。これらについて、本COEプログラムが貢献した総合政策学の基盤を元に、政策立案、政策研究という方法によるさらなる問題発見・解決にむけた発展が呼びかけられた。
