• Note (General): type:text; 伝統工芸の再生の突破口になるのが事業領域の見直しである。会津塗の坂本乙造商店（福島県）は「漆器問屋」から「漆の加工技術を現代の工業製品の中に表現する」会社へと進化した。デニムのカイハラ（広島県）は「備後絣」から「独自のバリューチェーンで最高品質のデニムをつくること」へ、化粧筆の白鳳堂（広島県）は「ブラシ」から「筆」へ、伊賀焼の長谷製陶（三重県）は「民芸品」から「日用品」へと事業領域を変えている。 もう一つの再生戦略が垂直統合である。伝統工芸の多くは、製作工程ごとに専門の職人が担当する分業体制になっている。分業のメリットは専門の特化にある。高い専門性をもった職人や匠が各工程を担当するので、高品質な製品の生産を可能にする。ただし、工程のどこか一つでも欠けると分業は成立しない。しかも、各工程の良し悪しは担当する個人に依存する。それに対して、革新的な企業は、高品質と効率化を両立させるために各工程の統合や調整にこだわる。 最後が受容能力を高めることである。多くの再生企業は、欧米の技術やビジネスモデルを日本流にアレンジして、海外に逆展開している。他国や他業種からノウハウを取り入れて、それを自分たち流に解釈して独自に進化させる能力を受容能力という。備後紬の会社が米国生まれのジーンズを日本流にアレンジした事例がある。もともとシーンズは生地が厚く粗いので、作業着として使われていた。同社は粗野なイメージをもつジーンズに、ファッション性や機能性をもたせることで欧州市場に展開している。毛筆筆の会社が「化粧筆」の市場を生み出した。このような事例は、海外生まれの商品と日本の伝統技術を組み合わせることで、新しい付加価値を生み出す可能性を教えてくれる。 With the decline of the domestic market of traditional crafts, one of turnaround strategies is re-definition of the business. Aizu-painted Sakamoto Otozo Shohten (Fukushima Prefecture) has evolved from a "lacquer wholesaler" into a company that "expresses lacquer processing technology into modern industrial products". Denim's Kaihara (Hiroshima Prefecture) goes from "Kasuri" to "making the highest quality denim with its own value chain", makeup brush Hakuhoudou (Hiroshima) goes from "brush" to "fude", Hase seitou (Mie Prefecture) is changing its business domain from "commodities" to "daily items". Another regeneration strategy is vertical integration. Most of the traditional crafts are divided into division of labor by specialized craftsmen for each production process. The merit of division of labor is in specialized specialization. As highly skilled craftsmen and artisans take charge of each process, it enables the production of high quality products. However, division of labor can not be established if any one of the processes is missing. Moreover, the quality of each process depends on the person in charge. In contrast, innovative companies are focused on integration and coordination of each process to achieve high quality and efficiency. The last is to improve the capacity to accept. Many reclamation companies arrange western technology and business models in a Japanese way and reverse development overseas. The ability to take in know-how from other countries and other industries, interpret it in their own way, and evolve independently is called capacity. There is a case where the textile company arranges American-born jeans in a Japanese style. Scenes were originally used as work clothes because the dough was thick and rough. The company is expanding into the European market by giving fashion and functionality to jeans with a crude image. The company of brushstrokes has created a market for "make-up brushes". Such examples show the possibility of creating new added value by combining foreign-born products with traditional Japanese technology.
