• Note (General): type:text; 2018年6月にSpatial Econometrics Advanced Institute主催のBadi Baltagi教授とGiovanni Millo講師（R言語のsplm開発者）によるパネルデータ1週間集中講義（ローマ）を受講し、空間パネルデータモデルの理論と推定法を学んだ。この期間に両氏と意見交換ができる関係を築き、研究費を獲得できればBaltagi教授を日本に招聘することになった。最新のGISの機能、空間統計ツール、および空間データを整理し、GISと空間統計ツールを効果的に連携した活用法を開発した。活用法を耕作放棄地、観光、不動産、母子世帯の経済・政策分析に適用した。耕作放棄地と観光は大学院生との共同研究、不動産は申請者1人の研究、母子世帯は安部由起子教授（北海道大学）と大学院生との共同研究として実施した。耕作放棄地の分析では、政府統計のオープンデータである農林業センサスと地理的加重回帰モデルを用いて、全国を対象とした耕作放棄地の空間パターンおよび地理的発生・抑制要因を分析した。研究成果を「GIS-理論と応用」に投稿し、査読付き原著論文として採択された。観光の分析では、サンフランシスコ市におけるAirbnbの価格決定要因を分析した。不動産分野では、不動産経済分析におけるGISの活用法を書籍1章分にまとめ、出版した。母子世帯については、全国を対象とする1990、2000、2010の空間パネルデータを構築し、母子世帯およびその子供の居住集積およびその経年変化を分析した。また、東京23区内における母子世帯の居住集積と公営住宅の立地の関係を分析した。観光と母子世帯の分析の研究成果を地理情報システム学会および東京大学空間情報科学研究センター主催のCSIS DAYS 2018全国共同利用研究発表大会で発表した。また、開発したGISと空間統計ツールの活用法を学部・大学院（経済地理、研究会、経済地理学、経済地理学演習等）の授業で実践した。履修した学生20名以上が、三田祭論文や学位論文等でGISと空間統計ツールを活用した。 In June, 2018, I learned the theory and estimation methods of spatial panel data models by participating in the Spatial Econometrics Advanced Institute's one-week intensive course of "Panel Data" by Badi Baltagi and Giovanni Millo in Rome. Badi agreed that he would be invited to give a lecture in Japan if I could receive grants in the future. I investigated the latest GIS functions, spatial statistics tools, and spatial data and developed the effective joint use of GIS and spatial statistics tools. Then, the joint use was applied to the economic and policy analyses of abandoned farmland, tourism, real estate, and single-mother households. The analysis of abandoned farmland and tourism was conducted with graduate students. The analysis of real estate was carried out by myself, and the analyses of single-mother households were conducted with Yukiko Abe (Hokkaido University) and a graduate student. In the study of abandoned farmland, we used the Geographically Weighted Regression models to examine the spatial patterns and the geographic factors of abandoned farmland. Our paper was accepted as a refereed article in the Theory and Applications of GIS. As for tourism, we examined the relationships between Airbnb pricing and neighborhood characteristics in San Francisco. With regard to real estate, I wrote a book chapter, "The use of GIS in real estate economic analysis." As for single-mother households, we constructed spatial panel data in 1990, 2000, and 2010 and examined residential clusters of single-mother households and their children as well as their temporal changes. Also, we investigated the relationships between residential clusters of single-mother households and the locations of public housing in the Tokyo ward area. Our studies on tourism and single-mother households were presented at the Annual Meeting of the Geographic Information Systems Association of Japan and the University of Tokyo's CSIS Days 2018, National Cooperative Use Research Conference. Further, I taught the use of GIS and spatial statistics tools in undergraduate and graduate courses. Over 20 students enrolled in these courses utilized the GIS and spatial statistics tools for their papers or theses.
