• Note (General): type:text; 本研究の目的は，コンパクトリーマン面の対称性と3次元多様体のエータ不変量の関係を明らかにすることである．より具体的には，リーマン面の自己同型の可約性（基本的な自己同型の組み合わせに分解できるという性質）をエータ不変量の消滅（スペクトルの非対称性）によって特徴付けることを目的としている．研究対象としては，単純フルビッツ群を自己同型群として持つコンパクトリーマン面に焦点を当て考察を行う． 曲面の写像類群はトポロジーの観点のみならず，関数論や代数幾何学の枠組みでも古くから研究されており，近年では一段と深い理解を得るために，それら諸分野の垣根を超えた研究手法が相互補完的に取り入れられ，益々その重要性を増している．Nielsen-Thurston理論によれば，曲面の写像類は定性的に1. 周期的，2. 可約，3. 擬アノゾフの3種類に分類される．分類定理は1. でも2. でもない写像はすべて3. であることを主張しているが，よく知られているように1. と2. は共通部分を持つ．本研究では周期的写像類の可約性という写像の定性的性質を，3次元多様体の幾何的不変量によって記述することを目標としており，特に3次元閉リーマン多様体のエータ不変量に着目し，その消滅（スペクトルの非対称性）によって周期的可約写像類を特徴付けることを試みた．より具体的な対象としては，コンパクトリーマン面の中で最も対称性が高いことで知られているフルビッツ曲面の自己同型群（フルビッツ群）を考え（これは自然に写像類群の有限部分群と見做せる），各自己同型の可約性の判定をエータ不変量の消滅で行えるような幅広い枠組みを構築すべく研究を推進した． 上記研究目標に対して，単純フルビッツ群の無限系列の例としてよく知られている（次数が大きい）交代群A(n)の元はすべて可約写像類であること，特にそれらの中で一番次数の低い交代群A(15)については，エータ不変量が消滅することを証明した． The purpose of this research is to study a relationship between the symmetry of compact Riemann surfaces and the eta-invariant of 3-manifolds. More precisely, we try to characterize the reducibility of an automorphism of a Riemann surface by the vanishing of the eta-invariant. To this end, we focus on a compact Riemann surface which has the Hurwitz group as an automorphism group. The mapping class group of a closed surface is well studied not only in topology but also in complex analysis or algebraic geometry. In recent years, to reach more deep understanding, the interaction among them rapidly goes on. Nielsen-Thurston theory tells us the mapping classes are classified into three types of mappings: 1. periodic, 2. reducible, 3. pseudo-Anosov. As is well known, there are some overlap between 1. and 2. In this research, we tried to describe the reducibility of periodic automorphisms in terms of the vanishing of the eta-invariant (spectral asymmetry). Actually we handled Hurwitz surfaces (its automorphism group can be regarded as a subgroup of the mapping class group), which are known to have the highest symmetry in each genus, and tried to make a wide framework for characterizing the reducibility in terms of the eta-invariant. For the above purpose, we showed that every automorphism of the Hurwitz surface which has the alternating group A(n) as an automorphism group is reducible. Moreover, we showed that the eta-invariant vanishes for the alternating group A(15) which is the smallest one in the simple Hurwitz alternating groups.
