• Note (General): type:text; 本研究課題では、トポロジーの概念を用いて量子論の非摂動効果の解明を大枠での目標として研究を行った。特に摂動級数展開と非摂動効果の間の非自明な関係を議論するリサージェンス理論に研究を行った。一般に量子論では厳密計算は困難なため何らかの近似に頼ることが常であるが、中でも摂動展開は最も一般的な手法の一つである。しかし素朴な摂動展開は、一般に、非摂動効果(非自明なトポロジーを持つインスタントン効果など)が大きい物理系においては良い近似を与えない。そのため別の非摂動的解析手法が必要となるが、そのような中でリサージェンス理論は、摂動・非摂動間を関連付けるため、これまでの素朴な摂動展開を補完する強力な非摂動的解析手法を与えると期待されている。本研究課題では、リサージェンス理論の場の量子論への応用を目指して以下の研究を行った。 1)超対称を持つチャーン・サイモンズ-物質場結合系のリサージェンス構造 リサージェンス理論の場の量子論への適用のためには、まず厳密結果が知られている系でリサージェンス構造を解析することが応用への第一歩として重要である。本研究では、ある種の超対称チャーンサイモンズ-物質場結合系において、「局所化の方法」によって厳密な分配関数が得られることに注目して、それらのトランス級数展開を導出し、非自明なリサージェンス構造を持つことを解明した。 2)二次元CP^N非線形シグマ模型におけるバイオン解とその非摂動的寄与 二次元CP^N非線形シグマ模型は、強い相互作用を記述するQCDのような四次元のゲージ理論の良いトイモデルであるため、それに対するリサージェンスの適用は、QCDへの応用、特にいわゆるリノーマロン問題の解決の糸口となると期待されている。この研究ではバイオンと呼ばれるリサージェンス理論において鍵となる解を導出し、その非摂動的寄与がリノーマロンの寄与と予想されている通りよく合致していることを確認した。 The aim of this research project is to understand non-perturbative effects in quantum theories by using topology. In particular, the research was performed with a focus on the resurgence theory, which relates perturbative expansions and non-perturbative effects in quantum theories. In general, exact evaluations is not possible in quantum theories, so that we usually rely on some approximation method. The perturbative expansion is one of the most standard method. However, it does not give a precise answer when there exist non-perturbative effects, such as instanton effects characterized by non-trivial topology. The resurgence theory relates perturbative/non-perturbative effects and hence it is expected to complete the analysis in a fully non-perturbative way. Aiming for an application of the resurgence theory to quantum field theory, I have performed the following research on the resurgence theory. 1) Resurgence structure of supersymmetric Chern-Simons matter theories To apply the resurgence theory to quantum field theory, it is an important first step to study the resurgence structure in models with known exact results. In this research, focusing on the property of supersymmetric Chern-Simons matter theories that some exact results can be obtained by using the localization method, we have derived their trans-series expressions and showed that they have non-trivial resurgence structures. 2) Bions and non-perturbative effects in two-dimensional CP^N non-linear sigma model The two-dimensional CP^N non-linear sigma model is a good toy model of QCD-like four dimensional gauge theories which describe the strong interaction, so that the application of the resurgence theory to the CP^N sigma model is expected to lead to the application to QCD, particularly, to the so-called renormalon problem. In this research, we have derived solutions called the bions, which plays an important role in the resurgence theory. Furthermore, we confirmed that their non-perturbative effects agree with the expected renormalon contribution. This is an important step towards the resolution of the long-standing renormalon problem.
