• Note (General): type:text; ドイツにおける移民の背景をもった子どもたちの教育では、近年、日本の初期指導に当たる準備クラスと中途入学者の教科指導が大きな課題となっている。本研究では、文献研究と授業参観、教員へのインタビュー等によって、その政策と実態を把握しようと試みた。 ベルリン州の準備クラスは歓迎クラスと呼ばれている。ドイツ語能力が不十分な児童生徒は、本人および家庭に関するデータ、教員2名による面談、プロフィール分析による診断で、CEFRのA1以下であれば初期指導（被識字者クラス、またはドイツ語の知識のない子どものクラス）に、A2以上であれば一般学級（ただしドイツ語の補習は継続）に振り分けられる（ギムナジウムの一般学級ではB1が必要）。通常、歓迎クラスの規模はふつうは12名程度で出身国、母語、年齢等の異なる子どもが混在しており、ドイツ語だけではなく、教科の指導も一部行われる。学校によっては歓迎クラスを複数設置しているところもある。歓迎クラスには1年間在籍し、その後に年齢相応の一般学級に編入するというのが原則ではあるが、実際には困難だという。そして、一般学級に移籍後もドイツ語の補習が数時間行われるケースが多い。授業を参観したギムナジウムでは85％の生徒はドイツ語以外の言語が母語で、出身国は46ヵ国に及び、トルコ、アラブ系、ロシア系、ベトナムが中心だという。 教科における中途入学者に対する対応については、ベルリン市内のある高校でドイツ語、数学、生物、化学、英語の授業を参観する機会を得た。移民の背景をもった子どもたちの教育は混種性を避けることができず、ここでも生徒の出身国やレベルは多様であった。しかし、それにもかかわらず、学校教育というある意味では画一的な場で、指導スタイルは異なるものの、一人ひとりの教師がドイツ語を母語としない生徒個々人に対して熱心に指導している様子が印象に残った。 In the education of children with immigrant backgrounds in Germany, preparation classes and instruction of subjects for mid-career students have become major issues in recent years. This study tried to grasp the education policy and the actual situation by literature research, class visits, interviews with teachers, etc. Berlin's preparation classes are called welcome classes. According to data on the person and family, interviews with two teachers, and diagnosis by profile analysis, students with insufficient German language skills are classified either to the initial instruction, if the results are CEFR A1 or less, or to a general class, if the results are A2 or more (B1-level is required for general classes in gymnasium). Usually, the size of the welcome class is about 12 and children from different countries, mother tongues, ages are mixed, and not only German language, but some instruction of subjects is also given. Some schools have more than one welcome class. After visiting a welcome class for one year, children with immigrant backgrounds should be transferred to an age-appropriate general class, but it is actually difficult. In many cases, teaching German language will be continued after transfer to the general class. In the gymnasium, which I visited, 85% of the students had native languages other than German, and came from 46 countries, mainly from Turkey, Arabic countries, Russia, and Vietnam. Regarding to teaching subjects to the mid-career students, I had an opportunity to visit German, mathematics, biology, chemistry and English classes at a high school in Berlin. In the education of children with a background of immigrants diversity is inevitable, and here too the countries and levels of origin of the students were diverse. However, in spite of that, in a unitary situation of school education, although the teaching style is different, every teacher was eager to be confronted to individual students whose German language skills are not sufficient.
