• Note (General): type:text; インターネットは、母国を離れて暮らしているディアスポラのメディア環境を大きく変化させている。特に、母国メディアの利用はインターネット以前の時代に比べ格段に容易になり、ホスト社会においても母国の情報および娯楽を日常的に利用できるようになっている。本研究では、韓国と距離的に遠く、時差も大きい地域であるフィンランドのヘルシンキとノルウェーのオスロにおいて、韓国系移民の人々がどのように韓国のメディアを利用しているのか、またその影響はどのように現れているのかなどについて、聞き取り調査を実施した。これまで調査を行ってきた他の地域における韓国系移民の人々と同じく、ヘルシンキとオスロにおいても、聞き取りを行った人々のほとんどが韓国のニュースやドラマ、バラエティ番組を日常的に利用していることが明らかになった。ただ、韓国との時差が少ないメルボルンやシドニー、またはちょうど12時間の時差があって昼夜が逆転しているブエノスアイレスの人々と違ってリアルタイムでの利用は少なく、動画共有サービスによるVOD(Video On Demand)の利用が主流のようであった。ヘルシンキにいる移民の人々は、ソウルとの間で直行便が運行されていることもあって、距離的に離れている感覚はそれほど強く感じていないようであったが、それでも移民社会の規模が小さい上、現地社会との交流も少なく、孤独感を強く感じている人は多かった。オスロにいる移民の人々は、ヘルシンキに比べ地理的な孤立感および孤独感をより強く抱いている様子が窺えた。ホスト社会の企業に務めたり、現地の人と結婚したりして、ローカルコミュニティーにある程度結び付けられている人は相対的に韓国メディアへの接触を自制している様子も観察されたが、多くの人々は韓国メディアへの習慣的な接触を断ち切れず、場合によっては正常な日常生活が妨げられるほどの重度の利用になっていた。 The Internet dramatically changes the media environment of Diaspora living away from home country. In particular, the use of homeland media is getting much easier than before the Internet era. Information and entertainment of the home country are able to be consumed in host society on a daily basis. In this study, two research questions are explored: (1)how are Korean immigrants using Korean media in Helsinki, Finland, and Oslo, Norway, which are distant from Korea and have a large time difference. (2)what are the effects of homeland media use. Semi-Organized interviews were conducted to collect data. Similar to the Korean immigrants in the other regions we have investigated, most of the interviewees in Helsinki and Oslo regularly use Korean news, dramas and variety shows. However, unlike the people of Melbourne and Sydney, which have a small time difference with Korea, or Buenos Aires, which has just 12 hour time difference and the day and night are reversed, people of Helsinki and Oslo do not use homeland media in real time. Instead, VOD (Video On Demand) use by video sharing service was popular It seems that immigrants in Helsinki don't feel that they are far away from Korea partly because there are direct flights to and from Seoul. However, due to the small size of the immigrant society and little interaction with the local society, many people seemed to feel a strong sense of loneliness. The immigrants in Oslo appeared to have a greater sense of geographic isolation and loneliness than Helsinki. People who are connected to the local community to some extent by working for local companies or marrying local people are relatively restrained from contacting the Korean media. However, we could observe many people who were unable to break out of their heavy use of the Korean media, and in some cases, their uses were heavy enough to prevent normal daily life.
