• Note (General): type:text; 本研究の目的は、ヒトの脳・身体システムに備わった学習能力をテクノロジーで拡張し、超絶技巧の運動学習を可能にする拡張フィードバック技術を開発することである。この目的を達成するための具体的な研究課題として、「1分間に両手で1208回ドラムを叩く(1秒に片手で10回叩く = 10 Hzのリズム)」という世界ギネス記録の突破にチャレンジすることを掲げた。3年計画の2年目である本年度は、以下(1)～(4)の研究成果を得た。(1)筋電気刺激（Electrical Muscle Stimulation: EMS）研究で著名なシカゴ大学のPedro Lopes博士と国際連携し、リズム運動トレーニング専用のEMSシステムを開発した。開発システムを用いてどれくらいすばやくドラムが叩けるか検証したところ、片手10Hz打撃という世界最速ドラマー級の超高速ドラミング運動をEMSで実現できることを確認した。(2) 開発したEMSシステムを用いて、3日間の短期ドラムトレーニング実験を実施した。実験の結果、EMSなしの通常トレーニングに比べ、EMSありの拡張フィードバックトレーニングで、高い学習効果が得られるという結果を得た。本研究成果は、査読付き国際学会の発表演題として採択され、ミシガンで開催されるRhythm Perception Production Workshop（RPPW）とニューヨークで開催される北米音楽知覚認知学会（SMPC）にて発表予定である（Anzai et al., 2019ab）。(3)開発したEMSシステムがリズムトレーニング一般に有用か検証するために、EMSフィードバックがヒトの時間知覚に与える影響についても検証した。本成果も国際学会発表の演題として採択された（Konno et al., 2019ab）。（4)熟練パーカッション奏者の最速タッピング運動や手指の長さ、両手協調性が、未熟練者とどのように異なるのかについても明らかにし、日本人間工学会第59回大会、第17回情報科学技術フォーラムにて発表した(本田, 2018ab）。SMPCでも本成果を発表予定である（Honda et al., 2019)。 The purpose of this research is to develop augmented feedback system for learning virtuoso. As a model of virtuoso, we are focusing on a rapid drumming performance by the winner of a recent international contest to find the world's fastest drummer (WFD). Specifically, the WFD achieved the record of 1,208 beats per minute with bimanual drumming movements. This speed equals to 10 beats per second for each hand (i.e., 10-Hz rhythmic movement). Thus, we aimed to develop an augmented feedback system to achieve the 10 Hz rapid rhythmic movement. We got the following four achievements during the second year of this 3-year project: (1) In collaboration with Dr. Pedro Lopes (Chicago University), we developed an electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) system that enabled the training of rapid rhythmic hand movements. In our pilot experiment, we confirmed that the EMS system enabled the 10-Hz rapid drumming movements, which was comparable to the world's fastest performance. (2) We performed an experiment to test the effect of short-term drum training across 3 days. As a result, we found that the learning effect of the EMS feedback training was better than the conventional drum training without EMS. This study was accepted for presentations at the 17th Rhythm Perception and Production Workshop (RPPW) in Michigan and the 2019 biennial meeting of the Society for Music Perception and Cognition (SMPC) in New York (Anzai et al., 2019ab). (3) We also tested whether the developed EMS feedback system was useful for more general rhythmic training. We thus tested the effect of EMS feedback for human time perception. This study was also accepted for presentations at the RPPW and the SMPC (Konno et al., 2019). (4) We also clarified the difference in tapping performance, hand length, and bimanual coordination between professional percussionists and novice players. The finding was presented at the 59th Conference of Japan Ergonomics Society, the 17th Forum on Information Technology, and accepted for presentation at the SMPC (Honda et al., 2019abc).
