• Note (General): type:text; 本研究は，他者を評価する際，その人物がどのような集団の成員であるかによって評価基準を変移させる現象 (Collins et al., 2009) の生起を確認することを目的とした。特に，女性の理系能力を評価する際に，男性よりも低い基準を適用することにより，表面的な高評価 (例:女性のわりに数学が良くできる) が生じるかを検証した。 本学の学生と一般の社会人を対象に実験を実施した。実験参加者にはある大学生の履歴書を呈示し，その内容に基づいて学生の印象を記述するよう求めた。半数の参加者には，女子学生の履歴書を呈示し，残りの参加者には男子学生の履歴書を呈示した。履歴書には，氏名や性別，年齢といった基本的な属性に加え，就職試験で一般的によく利用されるSPIの言語分野 (主に国語) と非言語分野 (主に数学) の試験結果を偏差値で掲載した。言語分野よりも非言語分野の偏差値を高く設定し，当該学生の理系能力が高いことを示した。 参加者が記述した印象の内容を分析した結果，数学の能力を高く評価する記述の数に条件間の差は見られなかった。また，女子大学生を評価した実験参加者が，男性に比べて女性の理系能力が低いというステレオタイプを適用していたかを確認するため，履歴書に記載されていた非言語分野のSPIの偏差値について記憶再生を求めた。分析の結果，再生したSPIの数値に条件間の差は見られなかった。以上の結果から，本研究では，女性の理系能力を評価する際に男性よりも低い評価基準を適用するという現象は確認することができなかった。 評価基準の変移現象が確認できなかった理由は，実験手続きにあると考えられる。採用人事の担当者になったつもりで学生を評価するよう求めたことによって，実験参加者は，先入観を排除しようと意識した可能性がある。また，インターネットでの実験であったため，参加者が刺激内容を注意して見ていなかった可能性もある。実験手続きを改善し，検証を続けていく必要がある。 The present study aimed to examine whether a phenomenon called shifting standard (Collins et al., 2009) could be seen. Especially, I predicted that people would evaluate a female's ability of math superficially higher (i.e. She is good at math for a woman) than a male's ability of math by applying lower standard. Undergraduate students at Keio University and public working adults participated in the study. The participants were presented with an undergraduate's CV including name, gender, age, and the results of SPI (both verbal and nonverbal skills). The result of SPI regarding nonverbal skill (i.e. math ability) was higher than that of verbal skill. Therefore, the participants could understand the target person was good at math. Half of the participants read a female student's CV and the other participants read a male student's CV. All the participants were instructed to describe the target person's impression and recall the result of SPI regarding nonverbal skill. As a result of analyzing the content of descriptions which the participants wrote, there were no differences regarding the number of good impressions between conditions. The recalled values of SPI regarding nonverbal skill did not differ between conditions. These results could not support the prediction. The reason why the prediction was not supported seemed to be problems of experimental procedure. The participants were likely to evaluate the target person fairly because of the instruction. Another possibility was that the participants did not read the instructions carefully because the experiments were conducted on the internet. In the future study, improvements of experimental procedure are necessary.
