• Note (General): type:text; 本研究の最終的な目的は，以下の三点に集約される． 1.土方巽および大野一雄によって拓かれ，「暗黒舞踏」を経て「舞踏」として世界に広がった日本発の舞踊芸術に，実践家・思想家たちの直接証言によって「舞踏」に明確な定義を与えること． 2.集めた証言を一次資料として広く公刊し舞踏研究の基盤をつくること． 3.英語環境のプラットフォームで議論喚起を促し，舞踏学を国際的に確立すること． この目的にそって，2019年度は，笠井叡のインタヴューを2019年８月に，森繁哉のインタヴューを2020年1月に行った．笠井叡は1943年生まれ，江口隆哉・宮操子のスタジオで学んだことでダンスの世界に入り，後に大野一雄に出会い，三年間，個人指導を受ける． 土方巽の「バラ色ダンス」（1965）に出演した現役最年長で最も重要な舞踏家である．他方，森繁哉は1947年山形県大藏村で生まれた． 1968年大蔵村の行政に関わる傍ら，大蔵村を拠点に芸術活動を展開するようになり，東京に定着することなく，地方で舞踏活動を続ける稀有の存在である．本研究者の課題である舞踏における都会と田舎，普遍性と地方性の問題における舞踏の曖昧性を考える上で重要な舞踏家である． 研究代表者は，これまで，中嶋夏，ビショップ山田，小林嵯峨，雪雄子，大野慶人，上杉満代への長時間の聴き取りを実施し学術雑誌において発表してきたが，そこにさらに二人の重要な舞踏家の証言を重ねることができた．さらに，2019年11月には，ニューヨーク市立大学で行われたButoh Nextでは，これまでのインタヴューの成果を含めて，小林嵯峨，雪雄子，上杉満代についてスクリーニングを交えて発表をおこなった．また，2019年12月には，大阪大学で行われた日本演劇学会分科会でも発表をおこなった．但し，2020年3月にベトナム・ハノイで行われる予定であった国際演劇学会のアジア演劇ワーキンググループでの発表が，コロナウィルス流行のため開催中止になったのは残念である． The purposes of this research are as follows: (1)To define "Butoh dance," which was created by Hijikata Tatsumi and Ohno Kazuo through interviews with first-generation Butoh dancers, who are now approaching 70 years old. (2)To establish a basis of Butoh studies through the publication of these interviews. (3)To foster discussions around Butoh dance to share a common understanding of it at international conferences. Interviews with Kasai Akira in August 2019 and Mori Shigeya in January 2020 were carried out for those purposes. Born in 1943, Kasai learned modern dance at Eguchi Takaya and Miya Misako's dance studio, and then became Ohno Kazuo's pupil for three years. Kasai is the most important Butoh dancer appearing in Hijikata Tatsumi's "Dance of Rose" (1965). On the other hand, Mori Shigeya, born in 1947 in Okura village in Yamagata prefecture, has distinguished himself through performing Butoh dances in small local and rural villages, rather than in the megacity of Tokyo. Mori Shigeya's activities are important because Butoh dance has a sense of "universality," with both urbanity and locality/rurality at its core. This coexistence creates a dichotomy in the genre, which can sometimes result in difficulties. These extensive interviews with Butoh dancers Nakajima Natsu, Bishop Yamada, Kobayashi Saga, Yuki Yuko, Ohno Yoshito, and Uesugi Mitsuyo are meaningful parts of the research projects. Moreover, a lecture about Kobayashi Saga, Yuki Yuko, and Uesugi Mitsuyo was presented at the City University of New York's "Butoh Next" Symposium in November 2019, as well as at the Japanese Society of Theatre Studies branch at Osaka University in December 2019. Unfortunately, a presentation on the working group of the International Federation of Theatre Studies in Hanoi, Vietnam has been cancelled because of new coronavirus infections.
