研究代表者（両角道代法務研究科教授）は、2019年夏にスウェーデンのルンド大学法学部においてワーク・ライフ・バランス（仕事と家庭の両立）をテーマに関する調査及び研究発表を行い、現地の研究者と意見を交換する予定であった。しかし、家族の病気により出張をキャンセルせざるを得なくなったため、文献の収集やメールによる現地研究者への問い合わせ等を行い、その知見を踏まえて「スウェーデンにおける親休暇・親給付の構造―法的視点から」（社会保障研究第16号〔2020年6月刊行予定〕）を執筆した。来年度はぜひスウェーデン出張を実現させ、さらに研究を進めたい。また、研究分担者（森戸英幸法務研究科教授）は、予定通りブラジルに出張し（2019年9月14日～2019年09月22日）、「第2 回ブラジル・日本法律セミナー『訴訟と社会―労働法改革』」に参加、16日に行われたセッション「高齢者雇用とその引退に関する法政策(Law and Policy on the Retirement Process of the Elderly)」の報告者の1人として、"Age Discrimination, or Employment Security?" のタイトルでプレゼンテーションを行った。また、19日はリオデジャネイロで労働裁判所を訪問、法廷や調停室などの見学の後、多数の判事と意見交換を行った。この出張を通じて、ブラジルは日本と比較すると労働裁判の事件数が桁違いに多いが、それは日本でば個別労働関係紛争処理法に基づく労働局のあっせんや労働基準監督署による指導などで解決しているレベルの紛争がすべて裁判所に持ち込まれている結果であることが明らかになった。ブラジル側は、日本は紛争の数を適度に抑制することに成功しており、そのメカニズムを是非参考にしたいと捉えているようであった。他方で日本側としては、ブラジルでは多数の事件をいかに効率的かつ迅速に処理するかという観点からシステムづくりがされており、その点は日本の今後の紛争処理システムを考える上で大いに参考になるという印象を持った。これらは、労働審判や通常訴訟にとどまらず、労働委員会における集団紛争の調整や不当労働行為救済制度のあり方を考える上でも重要な示唆となるであろう。 Morozumi studied Swedish labor law and social security law focused on "work-life balance". She has written an article titled "The Structure of Parental Leave and Parental Benefits in Sweden – From Legal Perspective" for Journal of social security research vol.16 which will be published in June 2020. Morito visited Brazil during September14-22 to participate in the seminer "Lawsuits and Society-Labor Law Reform". As one of lecturers in a session "Law and Policy on the Retirement Process of the Elderly", he made a presentation titled "Age Discrimination, or Employment Security?". He also visited the labor court in Brazil.
