• Note (General): type:text; 本プロジェクトは、米国のエモリー大学で開発され、2019年からグローバルに展開されている「Social Emotional and Ethical Learning （略してSEE Learning）」という教育プログラムを、日本文化の教育文脈に合わせて研究・開発することを目的とした。実施した成果は以下である。 2022年夏、「SEE Learning Japan」研究チームを立ち上げ、メンバーと共同で「SEE Learning Playbook」の翻訳及び出版をした。これにより、日本で広くプログラムを紹介し、学校や地域社会に働きかける土台ができたと考えられる。2022年12月は、このSEE Learningの翻訳過程を人類学的観点からまとめ、京都大学で学会発表を行った。 2022年4月からは、対話型・探索型授業の革新的なアプローチで知られる、かえつ有明中学と連携し、道徳の授業でパイロット・スタディを開始。2023年1月には、NTTコミュニケーション科学基礎研究所の藤野正寛氏と、かえつ有明中高教論の田中理沙先生と共同で公開シンポジウムを開催し、かえつ有明中学への導入に関する展望を議論した。 2024年の3月には、SEE Learningを開発したエモリー大学の研究者を慶應義塾に招待して国際学会を開催し、学校教育の導入について議論すると共に、人類学的な手法で SEE Learning の日本への文脈化に関するエスノグラフィー論文をまとめる予定である。 SEEラーニングの導入は、教師による自律的で協同的な取り組みとして学校文化に根付いていくことで効果が発揮されることがインタビューやアンケート調査から明らかになっている。調査結果を参照しつつかえつ有明中学や今後協同を試みる慶應義塾の一貫校などで、SEE Learning を取り入れた授業事例の実証的検証を行い、それを基に日本の教育に感情知性・身体知性・倫理性を効果的に導入していくことが今後、本研究の長期的視野で期待される成果である。 This research project aimed to research and develop core materials of the "Social Emotional and Ethical Learning" (SEE Learning) program that is being developed at Emory University, for the Japanese cultural educational context. The Principal Investigator (PI) launched a "SEE Learning Japan" research team (https://www.seelearningjapan.com) and in collaboration with the team members, published the translation of the "SEE Learning Playbook" that includes the core activities for teaching SEE Learning to children and adults. The publication of this material has enabled the PI to introduce the program widely in Japan, and to reach schools and communities for furthering collaborating action-oriented research. The PI has been working closely with teachers from Kaetsu Ariake High School - school well known for its innovative approaches to dialogic and exploratory teaching. Fieldwork at Kaetsu Ariake High School resulted in a public report meeting with neuroscientist Masahiro Fujino and Kaetsu Ariake's teacher Risa Tanaka in January 2023. The PI plans to continue collaborating with schools, attending meetings, conducting interviews, and putting together ethnographic fieldwork data to reach a better understanding of the process of cultural contextualization of educational programs, and the effects of SEE Learning in each context. Initial findings reveal that SEE Learning implementation cannot be realized by a top-down approach, but is most effective when organically incorporated into the 'culture' of the school through the active motivation of teachers and their community building. It is thus important that this research continues to focus on in-depth case studies of a number of schools, to observe and collaborate in the process of community culture-building and the transformation and/or resistance of individual teachers and students (and the researchers themselves).; 申請種類 : 福澤基金研究補助
