本研究は、フランスの外交官・劇作家・詩人のポール・クローデルの新発見の資料の整理とそれに基づいてクローデルの文学活動を分析するものである。2018年がクローデルの生誕150年であったが、この年に行われた文学展や対談等で、新資料や未公開であった資料が発見され、その整理を2019年度に引き続き行った。しかし2020年度は新型コロナ・ウィルスの感染拡大が続いたため、計画していた調査や取材は断念せざるをえなかった。とりわけ生前、クローデルと親交のあった日本人の遺族への聞き取りは、遺族が高齢であることも考慮し、中止することにした。一方、雑誌などに発表されたクローデルの翻訳やクローデルに関する評論は、電子化の作業がほぼ終わり、クローデル研究者に提供している。こうした調査・収集の一方、これらをもとにクローデルの文学活動に関する分析を行った。今年度も前年度に引き続き、クローデルが日本の思想とトマス・アクィナスの哲学とを関連づけて考察し、独自の思想を生み出したことを明らかにした。また今年度、昨年度、新型コロナ・ウィルスの感染拡大の影響で延期にしたシンポジウムを遠隔会議システムを用いて実現することができた。2021年3月11日・12日・17日・18日の4日間にわたり「クローデル・セミナー2021クローデルとその時代」と題し、12名の登壇者によるセミナーを開催し、そこで「アリストテレスと唐辛子クローデルのクラチュロス主義」を発表した。このセミナーは論文集として刊行予定である。 The purpose of this study is the following two points. One is to organize the newly discovered Claudel literature and so on. The other is to analyze Claudel's literary activity based on those documents. In 2018, the 150th anniversary of Claudel's birth, a new unpublished document was discovered. In 2020, we continued to organize these documents. However, due to the continued spread of the new coronavirus in 2020, the planned surveys and interviews were cancelled. This is because the people interviewed are elderly. Claudel's translations and critiques of Claudel published in magazines and newspapers have almost finished their digitization work and are providing the data to Claudel researchers. On the other hand, the symposium that was postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection in 2019 could be realized using the teleconferencing system. "Claudel Seminar 2021 His Claudel and his era" was held on March 11, 12, 17, and 18th, 2021. Presentations were made by 12 speakers. There, I announced "Aristotle and Chili Claudel's Cratylusism".
