• Note (General): type:text; 本年度は1960年代後半から70年代にかけての長野県において、家庭教育がどのように模索されていたのかを、退職教員が家庭向けに発行した地域教育雑誌『子どもとともに』を分析することによって明らかにした。『子どもとともに』は親世代にとってなじみのない新しい教科目の狙いや家庭学習の具体的方法について、現役教員の丁寧な解説があり、保護者から一定の支持を得ていた。『子どもとともに』には保護者も積極的に投稿しており、家庭教育に対する関心が保護者の間でも高まりを見せていたことを示している。 『子どもとともに』は当該時期の教育投資論的発想には否定的立場をとっていたものの、60年代後半以降の様々な教育問題の原因を「家庭の教育力低下」に求め、教員や学校のあり方を批判的にとらえ返す視点は欠落している。また、『子どもとともに』に投稿を寄せる教員も同様の姿勢がみられ、このことは当該時期の長野県の教育研究集会における「学校と家庭の連絡」や「家庭教育」に関する議論や教員の反省的思考の欠如を問題視する議論とは対照的である。この結果、1970年代以降、『子どもとともに』は懐古的な記事が多くなり、教育について教員と保護者が検討し合う場を提供できなくなるだけではなく、現実と切り結べない傾向が顕著になった。ここに『子どもとともに』の限界性、つまり地域における「教育」という視点を欠落させていく契機を見出すことができる。 とはいえ、『子どもとともに』は1980年代まで刊行を続けており、長野県における家庭教育の普及に一定の役割を果たしたと考えられる。70年代から80年代にかけての『子どもとともに』の展開、姉妹誌『若い芽』との比較検討、さらに研究の過程で明らかにされた東京発行の家庭教育雑誌『母と子』の長野県における読書会活動の展開について明らかにすることが今後の課題として示された。 The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how home education has taught during the 1960s to the early 1970s in Nagano Prefecture by analyzing the education magazine, Along with Our Children (子どもとともに) , which was , published by local retired teachers. This local-based education magazine explained concepts of the curriculum and methods of home education, which gathered support and appreciation by parents, especially mothers, who were unfamiliar with the new education system after World War Ⅱ. Mothers contributed greatly to this magazine, reflecting the fact that parents were greatly concerned with this topic. The editors of Along with Our Children held a negative stance toward contemporary education investment policy, but they regarded the causes of educational problems as the "deterioration of home education" and completely lacked critical viewpoints reflecting the states of teachers and schools. In addition, teachers who contributed to this education magazine shared the same stance as the editors, which contrasted with the contemporary discussions on "cooperation between school and home" and home education in the teachers' union in Nagano prefecture. This indicated teachers' lack of reflection toward their own educational activities and attitudes. As a result, Along with Our Children became a retrospective magazine, which made the offering opportunities of active discussions on education between teachers and parents difficult, in addition creating debate about the actual education matters. This was the limitation of this local education magazine, which lacked the critical perspectives on education. However, Along with Our Children might have played some role in education, since the publication continued until the 1980s. Future research should consider the development of Along with Our Children during the 1970s and 1980s, a comparative investigation with other contemporary local-education magazines, and the magazine's relationship with mothers' reading-circle activities.
