本研究の目的は、津軽海峡南岸域「下北半島北端」を研究対象に、異なる生業活動の場である開地遺跡と洞穴遺跡を発掘調査し、出土遺物の比較研究をおこなうことで、同時期の北海道から本州島への人類(文化)の流入の在り方を具体的に示すことにある。研究初年となる令和元年度は、同地域において特に洞穴・岩陰の分布調査を集中的におこない、これまで未知の洞穴・岩陰を複数発見、うち1か所については試掘調査も実施した。同洞穴では人類利用の痕跡は確認できなかったものの、他の未調査の洞窟も考古学的条件は良好であり、研究二年の令和2年度はそれらの試掘調査を実施する予定であった。しかしながら新型コロナウイルス感染拡大による緊急事態宣言の発令、そして県を跨いだ移動の自粛要請により、予定していた野外調査は中止せざるをえなくなった。そのため今年度の研究は、過年度調査出土資料の洗浄・遺物登録・写真撮影などの基礎的な整理と理化学的分析に止めた。理化学的分析の結果からは試掘調査を実施した洞穴・岩陰の形成年代を把握する上で貴重な所見がえられた。次年度以降は、下北半島地域において更なる洞穴・岩陰の発見を目指した分布調査を継続するとともに、今年度未了に終わった洞穴・岩陰の試掘調査を実施する予定である。なお、令和元年度の研究の一部は、「尻労安部洞窟」『季刊考古学 151号(特集洞窟遺跡の過去・現在・未来)』雄山閣、として公表した他、2021年4月に国際学会において口頭発表する予定である。 This study is intended to clarify inflow processes of the palaeolithic culture from Hokkaido to Honshu Island. In the first year of research, I searched for the new unknown cave and rock shelter intensively in the Siomokita Peninsura. As a result, I discovered many caves and rock shelters,and did trial excavations at one of them. But I couldn't discover the culture layer of the palaeolithic age. Therefore、in this fiscal year, I was planning to excavate other caves and rock shelters where the condition met. However, I couldn't help canceling those fieldwork by influence of new-style coronavirus infection expansion.
