本研究では商品を購入して一時的に所有し、自ら使用したのち、二次流通市場で売却する消費者に焦点を当てた。デジタル・プラットフォームの出現は、消費者間の余剰資源の取引を容易にした。プラットフォームが生み出す新しい消費者行動にはリキッド消費、アクセス型消費、共同消費、商業的共有システム、シェアリング・エコノミーなど多様な概念が命名され、研究が蓄積されつつある。一時的所有はリキッド消費の一形態と位置づけることができるが、こうした行動やその背後にある要因に関する研究は十分に行われていない。こうした背景から本研究においては本研究では一時的所有行動という概念を提示し，その定義を明らかにした上でなぜいま本概念に着目するべきなのかを検討した。また，先行研究の詳細なレビューからリキッド消費，アクセス・ベース消費，共同消費，シェアリング・エコノミーといった近年登場した概念および従来の所有行動や共有行動と本概念との相違点を明らかにし，今後の研究機会を示した。本研究の貢献は近年注目される所有から利用への進化に着目し，一時的所有という新しい所有の在り方に焦点を当てることによって，既存のリキッド消費および所有行動の議論を補完するものである。2021 年度は、関連領域の先行研究レビューを入念に行った。その成果は、以下の学会において発表された。山本晶(2021)「デジタル・プラットフォームが変える新しい消費者行動 ―余剰資源の売却行動を中心に―」『日本商業学会第71回全国研究大会』 2021年5月30日山本晶(2021)「一時的所有行動に関する概念的検討」『マーケティングジャーナル』 41(2) 7-18 2021年9月30日一時的所有行動は、製品所有時の態度、なかでも愛着の影響を強く受けることが先行研究レビューから示唆されている。今後の研究計画として、申請者は一時的所有行動に愛着が及ぼす影響を検証する予定である。その予備調査として、当該年度は600人を対象とした実験を実施した。実験の分析とその成果報告は次年度以降に行う予定である。 Due to the emergence of the online C2C (consumer-to-consumer) marketplace, the new consumer behavior of temporary ownership is gaining popularity. Temporary ownership is defined as consumer behavior of selling products that they own temporarily, which were purchased for self-use. This research envisioned, explicated, and delineated temporary ownership behavior. The research also highlighted the similarities and differences with concepts such as liquid consumption, access-based consumption, collaborative consumption, and sharing economy. Finally, the research debated the future research directions regarding temporary ownership relating to consumer decision making and psychological ownership, and discussed the managerial implications. The products of the research were accepted and published in the journal and academic conferences listed below. The extensive literature review generated a number of hypotheses on the relationship between temporary ownership and product attachment. To test the working hypothesis, preliminary experiment was conducted. The preliminary experiment provided a foundation for the subsequent experiments planned in the following academic year.
