データサイエンス教育プログラムの開発のためには、中国で開発された小中高を通じたAI教科書が参考になるとの認識から、昨年度に行った中高版の翻訳に続き、今年度は小中版の中から『AIの舞台裏のヒーロー Python』の翻訳を依頼し、内容の検討を行った。Python の基本文法から応用までを扱っているが、小中学生を対象とするものとしてはかなり高度な内容で、後半にはロボットYansheeの制御や機械学習の内容まで扱われていることなどがわかった。中高の教科書比較を踏まえたプログラム開発の成果の一端として、馬場・山内が2021年度統計関連学会連合大会において「高等学校におけるAI教育の展望―中国のAI教科書から学ぶこと－」として報告を行った。これまでの小規模な静的・構造化データをその解析の対象としていた統計学が、大規模な動的・非構造化データもその守備範囲とする必要のある中、AIをブラックボックス化するのではなく情報や理数など他教科と連携をとりながら、積極的にAI教育を進める必要がある一方で、その基礎となるデータサイエンスについての教育を、問題解決のための有効な手段として着実に行っていくことの重要性を確認することができた。また、西山は幼稚舎の情報教育において、馬場は湘南藤沢高等部の統計教育において様々な試みを展開した。馬場が担当する6年生の選択科目「データ科学」では、「第13回データビジネス創造コンテスト」および「統計データ分析コンペティション2021」への参加を通じて実践的にデータを分析し、そこから得たことを他人にわかりやすく伝える技術を学ばせた。結果として応募した生徒が、前者では最優秀賞を、後者では3つの賞および学校賞を受賞することができた。この教育実践の成果は第19回統計教育の方法論ワークショップにおいて、馬場が受賞生徒とともに「統計活用奨励賞及び特別賞の授業実践事例」と題して発表を行った。 For the development of the data science educational program, we asked for a translation of an AI textbook in China for primary and secondary students. It explains from basic grammar of Python to a high-level application such as the control of the robot "Yanshee" and the machine learning for primary and secondary students. Baba and Yamauchi reported a part of the result of the program development at Japan Joint Statistical Meeting 2021, entitled "A view of AI education in the high school – Learn from AI textbook in China." We were able to confirm that we should not only introduce AI education but also keep enhancing the education of data science at the same time. Nishiyama and Baba developed various attempts in statistics education. In the elective subject for the sixth graders in SFC high school, students studied data science practically through the applies for two contests. In the "13th Data Business Creation Contest," three students won the championship as a group, and three other students won awards in the "Statistics Data Analysis Competition 2021." Baba reported the result of this educational practice at the 19th Japan Conference on Teaching Statistics, entitled "Encouragement Award of Statistics Utilization, Special award (Statistics Data Analysis Competition 2021)."
