• Note (General): type:text; 人の思考や判断、言語理解やコミュニケーションにおける論理的側面と感性的側面の補完的関係を分野横断的に解明することを目的として、基礎研究から応用研究まで、論理と感性のグローバル研究センターと連携して、文学部9専攻から代表者・分担者7名、文学部専任教員の協力者16名、名誉教授5名、若手研究者40名以上が参加し本プロジェクトを進めた。まず、哲学・論理学グループによる研究として、研究代表者を中心に、自然言語及び図的表現・画像に注目して人間の意味理解と推論の研究を進めた。特に言語の計算論的モデルとして論理的アプローチと統計・機械学習に基づくアプローチを比較する一連の研究を進め、その成果をオンラインの国際学会を中心に発表した。また「論理と推論における不一致（Disagreement in Logic and Reasoning）」をテーマに、世界論理デー（World Logic Day 2022）の一貫として論理と感性のグローバル研究センターの主催で2022年1月15日にワークショップを開催し、哲学、論理学、認知科学、情報科学の研究者を中心に議論、研究交流を行った。コロナ禍の状況下で対面での交流など活動が制限されていたものの、同センターの研究活動としては、この他に、遺伝と教育、生物心理学、美学美術史学、認知神経科学、社会心理学、発達科学、文化人類学、倫理学、感性科学、民族学考古学の各グループが研究を進め、その成果は同センターの若手研究者を中心として、2022年3月3日にオンラインで開催された同センターの成果報告会において報告された。 This project aims to elucidate the complementary relationship between logic and sensitivity in human thinking, judgment, language understanding, and communication in a cross-disciplinary manner. The project was conducted in collaboration with the Global Research Center for Logic and Sensitivity, with the participation of eight main members (the principal investigator and contributors) and 16 collaborators from nine departments of the Faculty of Letters, five professors emeritus, and more than 40 young researchers. First, the Philosophy and Logic Group, led by the Principal Investigator, conducted research on human understanding and reasoning, focusing on natural language and visual representations including images and diagrams. He has conducted a series of studies comparing logical and statistical/machine learning-based approaches as computational models of language and presented the results at online international conferences. Second, under the theme of "Disagreement in Logic and Reasoning," a workshop was held on January 15, 2022, sponsored by the Global Research Center for Logic and Sensitivity as part of World Logic Day 2022. Researchers from philosophy, logic, cognitive science, and information science were the main participants in this workshop. Although face-to-face exchanges and other activities were limited under the circumstances of the Covid 19 pandemic, each group of the Global Center for Logic and Sensitivity, including genetics and education, biological psychology, aesthetics and art history, cognitive neuroscience, social psychology, developmental science, cultural anthropology, ethics, sensitivity science, archaeology and ethnology, has shed light on various aspects of logic and Sensitivity research. The results were reported at the 2021 Annual Meeting, mainly by young researchers of the Center.
