• Note (General): type:text; 以下、2022年度の成果・実績を報告する。 1) 3年目は国内外での発表の機会がさらに増え、本研究の学術的インパクトを大きく高めることに成功した。まず当該分野の最新の研究文献と重要な歴史的資料の収集・分析を進め、研究に反映させることができた。 2) これにより、以下を含む数々の成果を得た。5月、事務局長を務める慶應愛書家倶楽部の第45回例会の企画運営を行い、野口米次郎の海外体験を記した著作を再評価する発表も行った。6月、大英図書館と慶應義塾が共同制作した東西書物文化史についてのFutureLearn講座が世界公開され、日本語コンテンツの英訳・出演を務めた。7月、ヴェネツィアで開催された国際ウォルター・ペイター学会へ参加し、ペイターのコスモポリタン的唯美主義における「新しさ」の意味に関する発表を行った。この出張は、学会期間の前後を含め、世界の第一線で活躍する研究者達との貴重な議論・交流の場となった。10月、東京ラスキン協会の機関誌の巻頭論文として、ペイターとジョン・ラスキンの影響関係を分析した論考が掲載された。同月、日本ペイター協会年次シンポジウム「ラスキンとペイター」に登壇し、両作家の美学において「未完成」が担う役割を分析する発表を行った。11月、慶應愛書家倶楽部の第46回例会を企画運営し、ジョン・コリア、西脇順三郎、竹友藻風らの関係を書物史的観点から読み解く発表を行った。12月、現在実行委員を務める英詩研究会が刊行した10周年記念詩文集に自作の英詩が掲載された。1月、『週刊読書人』の依頼で英語の歴史と英国文化の関係を巡る新刊本の書評を発表した。3月、オスカー・ワイルドにおけるペイターの影響を無為と怠惰という観点から明らかにする論文を『英語英米文学』に発表した。加えて、上記のペイターの「新しさ」を巡る発表内容を元にした論文を『藝文研究（松田隆美教授退任記念号）』に寄稿し、校了済であることを申し添えたい。 Below is an outline of my major research activities and outputs during the fiscal year of 2022 (i.e. the third/final year of my ongoing three-year research project/proposal): 1) Further progress on my research into the nature, development and reception of cosmopolitan aestheticism in Britain between the late nineteenth century and the early twentieth century, with reference to the latest historical/critical resources made available by my successful application to the Keio Academic Development Funds 2022. These included a significant number of new academic monographs and studies by leading scholars in the field, as well as many of important historical books and documents, both in English and Japanese, that could help illustrate the global context of aestheticism and its legacies. 2) (Based on the above) Publication/presentation of my work to a wider academic audience than in the past two years. In AY 2022, I was given the opportunity to present a significant portion of my research results at the following conferences and meetings relevant to this project, which include but are not limited to: a talk on Yone Noguchi delivered in May at the 45th meeting of The Keio University Society of Bibliophiles (KUSB), of which I have served as Secretary for over a decade; the Japanese-English translation of the three-week online course, 'Travelling Books: History in Europe and Japan' (FutureLearn, UK; The British Library & Keio University); a paper on the significance of novelty to Pater's cosmopolitan aestheticism, read at The International Walter Pater Society held in July at Iuav, Venice; an article on Ruskin and Pater, published in The Ruskin Newsletter in October; a paper (for the symposium) on Ruskin and Pater, read in October at the 60th meeting of The Walter Pater Society of Japan; a talk on John Collier, Junzaburo Nishiwaki and Sofu Taketomo, delivered in November at the 46th meeting of KUSB; an English poem, 'Uni-verse' published in Right Margin (by The English Poetry Society) in December; a book review published in the Dokushojin in January; a paper on Oscar Wilde and idleness/laziness published in the 77th issue of The Keio University Hiyoshi Review of English Studies in March; and a paper (in press) on Pater and novelty, soon to be published in The Keio Journal of Arts and Letters.
