• Note (General): type:text; 「口腔機能の低下」を意味するオーラルフレイル（OF）は要介護や死亡のリスクを高めることが報告されているが、可逆的な状態であるため早期の対応が有効である。健康サポート薬局を中心に、薬局には地域住民の健康サポート機能が求められるが、薬局でのOF予防啓発の有用性を評価した報告はない。本研究では、薬局で実施したOF啓発イベントの参加者を対象にOFの実態を調査し、OF啓発イベントのOF予防に対する意識や行動への効果を検証した。2022/6/24～8/5に慶應義塾大学薬学部附属薬局においてOral Frailty Index-8（OFI-8）によるセルフチェック及びOFの知識と予防方法に関する情報提供を行うOF啓発イベントを実施した。OF啓発イベントの参加者のうち、50歳以上の84名に口腔ケア習慣やOFの認知度に関する質問紙調査を行い、2週間後にOF予防方法実施状況等に関する追跡質問紙調査を実施した。OFI-8による評価は、被験者の15%がOFの「危険性あり」、40%が「危険性が高い」であった。OFの名称の認知度は31%であった。イベント2週間後の追跡調査の回収率は81%（68/84）であり、イベント前からOFを知っていた22名のうちOFの症状に注意している者が59%から86%に有意に増加した（p=0.027）。また、OF予防のための口の体操を知らなかった48名のうち50%が体操を継続実施していた。OFについて歯科医院で相談したことのなかった61名のうち、5%が実際に相談を終え、75%が相談を予定していた。啓発イベント参加者のOFの認知度は低く、リスクのある者が半数以上であったことから、薬局でOFの周知・啓発を行う意義は大きいと考えられた。また、イベント実施後にOF予防に対する意識の改善や予防方法の継続実施が確認できたことから、薬局は啓発イベントを通じ、地域住民のOFの予防に寄与できると考えられる。 Oral frailty (OF), which means "accumulated poor oral status", has been reported to increase risk of mortality and disability. Community pharmacies are expected to provide health support functions for local residents, but there is no report evaluating the usefulness of OF preventive education at pharmacies. This study aimed to investigate actual condition of OF and examine the effects of OF self-checking and information provision at community pharmacies on attitudes and behaviors toward OF prevention. An OF educational event was held at Keio University Community Pharmacy from 6/24/2022 to 8/5/2022. Participants self-checked the level of OF by Oral Frailty Index-8 and were provided information about the prevention of OF. After that, we asked 84 patients aged 50 years older to complete a questionnaire survey. Two weeks later, we sent them a follow-up questionnaire and received responses from 81% (68/84). It was shown that 15% of the participants were "at risk" for OF and 40% were "at high risk" for OF. The ratio of those who knew the name of OF was 31%. At follow-up questionnaire, those who were aware of OF symptoms increased significantly from 59% to 86% (P=0.027) among the 22 subjects who originally knew OF. Additionally, 50% had performed the mouth exercise to prevent OF among the 48 subjects who did not know the exercise. Among the 61 who had never consulted a dentist about oral frailty, 5% had newly consulted and 75% planned to do so. Since the awareness of OF among the participants of the event was low and more than half of them were at risk, education about OF for local residents at community pharmacies was considered to be useful. It was suggested that community pharmacies are able to contribute to the prevention of OF among local residents through educational events because awareness of OF and implementation of preventive methods were promoted after the event.
