• Note (General): type:text; 本研究の目的は、地域在住高齢者における生きがいのある生活へのテクノロジー利用ニーズを明らかにすることである。自宅で生活する65歳以上の高齢者を対象に、半構造化面接によるインタビュー調査を行った。インタビューデータの分析には、質的内容分析のinductive approach(Elo ＆ Kyngas, 2007)を用いた。調査期間は2022年2月～8月で、研究参加者は24名であった。研究参加者の性別は男性15名、女性9名、年齢は66～86歳（平均76.6歳、標準偏差4.9）であった。介護予防チェックリスト（新開, 2013）で4点以上の虚弱と判断される参加者は5名だった。現時点での質的分析により、研究参加者の生きがいとテクノロジー利用ニーズについて以下の結果が得られている。 高齢者の生きがいは多様であったが、趣味をもち、年齢を重ねても新たな学びや出会いを求める人、所属意識や貢献感をもち人とのつながりを通して生きがいを実感する人などがいた。高齢者の中には、加齢変化により生きがいであった趣味が継続できず生きがいの対象が変化する人や、明確に示せる生きがいを持たないなど生きがいを模索する人もいた。 高齢者のテクノロジー利用ニーズとしては自立した生活を送るための支援ニーズが高く、筋力増強デバイスや外出支援・記憶補助デバイス、音声認識など簡便な操作で自ら行える加齢変化に対応したデバイスなどのニーズが語られた。また、予防的な支援ニーズとして健康状態モニタリングアプリや見守りセンサー、コミュニケーションや感情の支援として愛玩用ロボットや感覚器支援デバイスなどのニーズが語られた。一方で、テクノロジーには代えられない人とのつながりを重視する高齢者は多く、加齢変化や感情のサポートを考慮したテクノロジー利用方法を検討する必要性が示唆された。今後さらに分析を進め、本研究成果について論文投稿を行う。 This study aimed to identify older adults' needs for the use of technology to achieve ikigai. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with older adults aged 65 years or older living at home. The inductive approach of qualitative content analysis (Elo & Kyngas, 2007) was used to analyze the interview data. The study period was from February to August 2022, and 24 older adults participated. There were 15 male and 9 female participants, and their age ranged from 66 to 86 years (mean: 76.6 years; standard deviation: 4.85). The analyses determined five participants as being frail based on a score of 4 or higher on the Kaigo-Yobo checklist (Shinkai, 2013). The qualitative analysis at this point yielded the following results regarding ikigai and the participants' needs regarding the use of technology. Older adults had a variety of ikigai: They had hobbies and sought new opportunities to learn and meet new people as they aged, felt a sense of belonging and contribution, and felt a sense of purpose in life through their relationships with others. Some had become unable to continue enjoying hobbies that had been a source of motivation for them as they aged, changed the object of their motivation for living, and did not have a clear ikigai and were searching for it. Older adults have a strong need for technology to support their independent living, such as through devices that can strengthen their muscles, support their going out and memory, and respond to changes in aging through voice recognition and other easy-to-use operations. In addition, health-monitoring applications and watchful-eye sensors were identified as addressing preventive support needs, and petting robots and sensory support devices were identified to fulfill their communication and emotional support needs. Many older adults value human connection, which cannot be replaced by technology, suggesting the need to consider methods technology use that consider age-related changes and emotional support. Further analysis will be underway. We plan to present a paper on the results of this research in the next fiscal year.
