本研究の現地調査は、夏季休暇中の8月6日－11日に申請者が単独で行った。コロナ禍対応のため、調査隊を組織することができなかったためである。調査内容としては、テル・ベイティン遺跡の東にある宗教遺構の一般調査であり、SfMソフトウェアを用いた写真測量及び遺物の表面採集が中心であった。結果として、宗教遺構は石の柱が立てられていたと思われる抉られた巨石とそれに接続する約15メートル四方のほぼ正方形の遺構で構成されていたことが判明した。共伴遺物は非常に少なく、さらに調査が必要であるが、鉄器時代やヘレニズム時代の土器もあり、この遺構が古代まで遡るものであることが確認された。これらの成果は、西アジア考古学会の発掘調査報告会において報告されている。 The fieldwork was carried out from August 6th to 11th, 2022, at the cultic site east of Tell Beitin by myself, for the team work was not allowed due to Covid-19. Measurement of the cultic site was conducted employing the SfM software, and artifacts were collected from around it. The site was composed of a large stone engraved on top, as if to hold a pillar or something alike, and a square structure, whose side was ca. 15 m long each. The number of artifacts were limited, but the sherds from the Iron Age and Hellenistic period were found, which suggests that the site is dated back to the ancient period. The results of the research were reported at the 30th Annual Meeting of Excavations in West Asia organized by Japanese Society for West Asian Archaeology.
