半金属または半導体において励起子が自発的に形成され、ボース凝縮を起こした相を励起子相と呼ぶ。近年になっていくつかの候補物質が提案され、励起子相研究の新しい展開を迎えている。本研究では励起子相に対する物性研究を念頭に置き、広く強相関電子系の有限温度状態ならびに光誘起非平衡状態の理論的・数値的研究を行った。有限温度計算においては変分クラスター法の有限温度への拡張や、クラスター平均場近似の励起子相への適用を行った。また、非平衡状態に関する研究では、引力および斥力ハバード模型の光誘起相転移の提案や、拡張ハバード模型の高次高調波における励起子の効果を解明した。 The phase in which excitons spontaneously form in a semimetal or semiconductor and subsequently undergo Bose condensation is referred to as an excitonic phase. In recent years, some potential materials have been proposed, and the study of excitonic phases has revealed novel perspectives. In this research, I conducted both theoretical and numerical analyses of finite-temperature states and photo-induced nonequilibrium states in strongly correlated electron systems, with particular attention to the physical properties of excitonic phases. For the finite-temperature calculations, we expanded the variational cluster approach to include finite temperatures and applied the cluster mean-field approximation to the excitonic phase. In the examination of nonequilibrium states, we proposed light-induced phase transitions within the attractive and repulsive Hubbard models, and elucidated the effect of excitons on higher-harmonic generations in the extended Hubbard model.
