関節リウマチは全身の関節に炎症が生じ、関節の腫脹や疼痛を伴い、時が経つにつれ関節が壊れていき、生活の支障をきたす病気である。関節の破壊の評価は主に手足などの単純X線を用いて医師が読影をして行われるが、評価箇所が多く時間がかかり、また、軽微な変化は判断が難しいなどの課題がある。そこで、人工知能のうち深層学習を用いて、関節破壊を自動で評価できるシステムの開発を行った。関節破壊指標の正解ラベル付与（アノテーション）ツールを開発し、それを用いて、関節破壊指標の自動算出システムを開発した。 Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease that causes inflammation of joints throughout the body, accompanied by joint swelling and pain, and over time, the joints break down, causing difficulties in daily life. Evaluation of joint destruction is mainly performed by physicians using X-rays of extremities, but this is time-consuming due to the large number of evaluation points and the difficulty in judging minor changes. Therefore, we developed a system that can automatically evaluate joint destruction using deep learning. A tool for assigning correct labels (annotation) for joint destruction indices was developed. And using this tool, a system for automatically calculating joint destruction indices was developed.
