本研究では、菅原洞斎と狩野秀水を中心とした秋田藩絵師の模本調査と、その原本である室町水墨画の調査を通して、模写者の特徴や傾向について考察をおこなった。あわせて、洞斎が編纂した画人伝と模写の関係性を考察し、彼らの思考の拠り所や、その活動を紐解いた。総体的な分析として、藩絵師の模写資料全体を、原本作者によって分類し、その割合を算出し、工房内の模写の傾向と、洞斎と秀水の模写の傾向を比較した。個別的な考察として、他藩と交渉し、所蔵の古画を借用閲覧している事実をいくつか確認した。そのような事例を汲み取ることによって、洞斎が、『絵師姓名冠字類抄』を編纂する過程を辿った。 This study examined the characteristics and tendencies of the copyists through a survey of copies of paintings by painters of the Akita clan, mainly Sugawara Dosai and Kano Shusui, and a survey of the original Muromachi period ink paintings. In addition, the relationship between the biography of the painters compiled by Dosai, and their copies was examined, and the basis of their thinking and their activities was unravelled. As a general analysis, the overall material copied by clan painters was classified according to the original author and the percentage of the material copied was calculated. Trends in reproductions within the workshop were compared with those of Dosai and Shusui. As an individual analysis, I was able to confirm the fact that he negotiated with other clans and borrowed and browsed old paintings in their collections. By drawing on these cases, the process by which Dosai compiled the biography of the painters became clear.
