献体から摘出した冠動脈のmicro calcificationをmicro CTおよび透明化技術で同定し、通常CTで撮影を行った上で、その病理組織所見と対比した。27か所の冠動脈石灰化病変を用い、large calcification（11か所）とspotty calcification（16か所）の2群に分け、CT撮影と病理組織像作成を行った。spotty calcification のmicro CTと病理組織所見は、large calcificationに比べ、多くのmicro calcificationを含んでいることが明白であった。 Micro calcifications of coronary arteries were identified using micro CT and transparency techniques. Twenty-seven coronary calcified lesions were divided into two groups: large calcification (11 lesions) and spotty calcification (16 lesions), and CT imaging and histopathology were performed. The micro-CT and histopathologic findings revealed spotty calcification had numerous micro calcifications compared with large calcification. Spotty calcification contains the aggregate of multiple micro calcifications, while large calcification is the mass or fragments of calcification. This is why the CT value of spotty calcification is lower than that of large calcification.
