Note (General): On every continent in the world, megalithic structures remain as testament to the ancient Neolithic and Mesolithic cultures that created them. Since 2006 an annual conference of researchers and scholars has been held in Glastonbury, England for the presentation and discussion of research findings. By way of a critical review of the presentations given, this paper seeks to provide an introduction to the varied facets that make up this field of inquiry.
世界中に新石器時代、または、それ以前に巨石文化の遺跡が残っている。2006年以後、英国のグラストンベリにおいて巨石文化に関する研究会が開かれることになった。この論文を持って2012年5月12日～15日の発表で明らかにされた発見などを批評しながら、この分野の研究成果を紹介する。
