Note (General): 大腸がん病態の指標となる候補分子を調べる目的で、大腸がん患者35症例を対象に、β-カテニンの新規転写標的CRD-BP (coding region-determinant protein)の発現を、その関連分子 (β-TrCP1, c-myc, IGF-II, Gli-1)の発現や臨床病理学的諸因子と比較解析した。その結果、大腸がん原発巣においてCRD-BPとc-mycの発現は有意に相関し、IGF-IIの発現とも相関傾向があった。CRD-BP発現の高い症例は有意にリンパ節転移の頻度が高く、病期がより進行していた。大腸癌においてβ-cateninにより発現誘導されるCRD-BPは、c-mycやIGF-IIを介して腫瘍の増殖やリンパ行性転移に関与することにより、がん病態の分子指標になると考えられた。
