• Note (General): 金沢大学医薬保健研究域医学系; 慢性ストレスはうつ病の主要なリスクファクタであるが，ストレスが誘導するうつ病(様)表現型の個体差とストレス負荷前に既に存在していた認知機能における個体差の関係については検討が少ない。本研究では，Progressive ratio (PR)スケジュールで訓練されたラットの欲求性オペラント行動における個体差に着目し，この指標が意欲の高さや意思決定スタイルの個体差を反映することを確認した。さらに，PR成績により分類された4つの亜群は，慢性ストレスに対してそれぞれ異なった反応性を短期的あるいは長期的に示した。これらの結果はストレス前の個体差からストレス反応性/脆弱性の個体差が予測できることを示唆した。; Although chronic stress has been widely used to induce depression-like phenotypes in preclinical studies, a few models have been developed to study causal relationship between the individual differences in the depression-like phenotypes and the pre-existing individual differences prior to stress exposure, which might genetically/epigenetically determine the fate of each animal after stress. We focused on a large inter-individual variability of a group of outbred rats in performance of an appetitive operant (leverpress) trained on a progressive ratio (PR) schedule. Based on the PR performance, we classified animals into 4 subgroups, which were found to show distinctive cognitive/behavioral characteristics. Moreover, the 4 subgroups revealed different behavioral responses to a chronic unpredictable stress (CUS) on short- and long-term bases.
