Note (General): 極低周波磁場を用いた新規治療システムを構築するため、魚類のウロコを用いたin vitroのアッセイ系を用いて骨芽細胞及び破骨細胞に対する応答を解析した。その結果、低強度では破骨細胞の活性が低下して、強度が上がると骨芽細胞が活性化してそれに伴い、破骨細胞が活性化することがわかった。次にその作用をマウスの頭蓋骨で確認することができた。さらに、ウロコのin vitroのアッセイ系により、メラトニンとの相乗効果が認められ、新規治療システムを構築することができた。
To develop a novel healing system for bone disease using magnetic fields, we examined the effects of extremely low-frequency(ELF) magnetic fields(60Hz) on osteoblasts and osteoclasts of goldfish scales using in vitro assay systems. The osteoblasts and osteoclasts in goldfish scales responded sensitively to the ELF magnetic fields in an in vitro experiment. The results agreed with those of rat calvarial osteoblasts and osteoclasts. In addition, the synergetic effect of magnetic fields and a bone-regulating hormone, melatonin, was confirmed. Thus, we succeeded in creating a novel healing system for bone disease by magnetic fields.
