Note (General): LiNbO_3(LN)は優れた電圧性、電気光学特性を持つ強誘電材料として知られており、光導波路などに利用されている。本研究では光変調器への応用をめざし、LNの圧電性をErの発光特性を組み合わせてErの発光の制御を試みた。また、大きな自発分極を有する新しい強誘電体・圧電体であるBiFeO_3(BFO)についても、同様のEr添加を試みその発光特性を調べた。実際には、PLA法によって作製したEr:LN薄膜に外部電界を印加し、PLの変化を測定した。その結果、Er:NLにおいて外部電界を印加することによるPLの強度の増加を確認した。交番電界印加によるPL強度の変調スペクトルの測定に成功した。また、ErをBFO薄膜に添加したEr:BFO薄膜において、PL発光の観測に成功した。
