揺動磁気共鳴イメージング（MRI：magnetic resonance imaging）を使用して脳局所の弾性，血流，細胞構造情報を同時に評価する手法を考案し，特発性正常圧水頭症例（iNPH：idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus）において本手法の臨床的有用性を検討した．本手法は頭蓋内のバイオメカニクス情報を非侵襲的に取得することが可能であり，iNPHの補助的診断法として有用となり得ることが明らかとなった．
We developed a new fluctuation magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) which can provide functional information on brain compliance, perfusion, and tissue structure, and applied it to patients with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH). We clarified that our method may enable noninvasive and more detailed evaluation of intracranial biomechanics and assist in the diagnosis of iNPH.
