Note (General): 中脳に位置する上丘は、興味の対象にすばやく視線を向ける眼球サッケード運動制御の中枢である。本研究ではマウスのスライス標本を用いてサッケード運動に先行して生成される上丘ニューロンのバースト発火がどのように終了するのかについて解析し、GABAB受容体が重要な役割を果たしていることを明らかにした。この結果は、眼球運動が適切に終了するためにはGABAB受容体の機能が重要であることを示唆している。
