癌の分子レベルでの予防をめざして、癌で高発現しているTGF-β1 結合蛋白質 LTBP-1L (Latent TGF-β1 binding protein-1L)の働きと分子マーカーとしての有用性を検討した。培養細胞株での機能解析と、臨床症例での蛋白発現と臨床データの関連解析の結果、LTBP-1L 蛋白は細胞増殖能の活性化を通じて、癌の発生や進行に寄与する可能性が示唆された。
Latent transforming growth factor (TGF)-β binding protein-1 (LTBP-1) play important roles in the secretion and activation of TGF-β. In this study, to clarify the role of LTBP-1L protein in carcinoma cell, we performed in vitro functional analysis and clinical data analysis. Our results indicate that the LTBP-1L protein can contribute to tumor initiation and progression through the induction of cell growth activity. And we indicated the possibility of the LTBP-1L protein as cancer molecular marker.
