骨芽・皮膚細胞の機能維持に必要な栄養因子を検索している。今回は、安価かつ容易に摂取できる大豆食品から得られるgenisteinと肉や卵、乳製品に含まれるmenaquinone-4（MK-4）の共同作用について報告する。骨芽細胞様MC3T3-E1細胞に1μMのgenisteinと24時間培養下、miroarray上で発現上昇するmRNAsを選別した。genistein+MK-4の組合せでRT-qPCRで細胞接着因子であるCHADと骨のALPが反応し、蛋白レベルを測定したところ，蛋白活性のみならず、各細胞の形態を紡錘形・卵形へ変化させた。これら栄養因子が骨芽細胞の機能活性に有用であることを示した。
Bone is a basic component of the musculoskeletal system and is constantly remodeled due to the function of osteoblasts and osteoclasts. The bone remodeling decreased especially in women following menopause, accelerated bone loss and leas to osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a serious social and health problem in a progressively aging society. Utilization of food-based nutrients like genistein, contained in soybeans, and menaqoinone-4, in dairy foods, are considered to be the most economical and easy way to prevent bone loss. In the present study, effect of genistein and menaquinone-4 on osteoblastic MC3T3-El cells were examined. We could isolate 21 mRNAs of which expression were increased more than three as much an control when genistein was supplied. Thereafter, co-effects of genistein and menaqoinone-4 were examined. We confirmed their simultaneous effectiveness on maintenance of using Chad and ALP.
