Note (General): ヘムオキシゲナーゼ-1(HO-1)が、単球あるいは血管内皮細胞における血液凝固・線溶系因子の産生を調節し抗血栓作用を有するかどうかについて検討した。その結果、HO-1代謝産物である一酸化炭素ならびにHO-1の発現を誘導するクルクミンをあらかじめ投与しておくと、炎症刺激による組織因子やプラスミノゲンアクチベーター・インヒビターの発現増加を抑制し、血栓傾向を阻止することを明らかにした。
The purpose of the present study was to examine the antithrombotic role of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) in detail, and to examine whether endothelial HO-1 induced by curcumin or carbon monoxide(CO) endogenously produced by HO-1 contributes to this antithrombotic effect. As a result, CO or endothelial HO-1 induced by curcumin would be effective for the prevention and treatment of hypercoagulable state by inflammation or oxidative stress.
