• Note (General): p-N, N-ジメチルアミノベンゾニトリル(DMABN)の同位体標識化合物について、振動スペクトルを測定し、帰属を行った。天然組成体以外に、アミノ重窒素化、ジメチル重炭素化、ジメチル重水素化、シアノ重窒素化、シアノ重炭素化、およびこれらを組み合わせた多重標識を行った化合物について、基底状態分子の振動解析を行い、完全な帰属を行った。アセトニトリル中のDMABNの電子励起状態について、ピコ秒過渡赤外吸収を行い、同位体による波数シフトからバンドの帰属を行った。1276cm^<-1>付近の吸収帯には、芳香環炭素-アミノ窒素結合[C-N(CH_3)_2結合]の伸縮振動が大きく寄与していることが判明した。ベンゼン環に局在した振動モード(Wilsonの表記法では、8aと19a)に注目すると、この両者の振動数の差は、ベンゼノイド性とキノイド性の指標として利用できる。実測の結果は、DMABNの励起状態が主としてベンゼノイド的であるが、かなりキノイド的でもあることを示唆している。残念ながら、実測の過渡吸収スペクトルだけから、励起状態におけるジメチルアミノ基の配向(芳香環と共平面的であるかどうか)に関して明確な結論を得ることは困難であった。DMABNと各種同位体置換体について、二光子共鳴光イオン化スペクトルを測定した。その結果、従来の研究では見落とされていた領域に、非常に強度の小さなO-O遷移を見出した。これにより、矛盾のない合理的な解釈が可能になった。; Vibrational Analysis of p -N,N- dimethylaminobenzonitrile (DMABN) has been performed for a series of isotope-substituted DMABNs in the ground saate. Infrared and Raman spectra of DMABNs have been recorded and analyzed on the basis of normal coordinate calculation on an empirical force field and of the Hartree-Fock and the density functional calculations. It has been found that a strong interaction between the dimethylamino group and the aromatic ring is directly reflected in the force field.Picosecond transient infrared spectra have been recorded for the excited singlet state of a series of isotope-substituted DMABNs in the fingerprint region. The band at 1276cm^<-1> for normal species shifts to low frequencies on ^<15>N, ^<13>C, and ^2H substitution of the dimethylamino group, and therefore assigned to the ring C-N(CH_8)_2 single-bond stretching. Other bands observed are attributable to vibrational modes of the benzonitrile moiety.
