糖尿病患者に携帯機器を用いた在宅健康サービス（携帯機器上で、毎日の体重、運動量（歩数）、血圧等のデータを送信してもらい　逆に生活指導をした。）を行い前向きオープン無作為比較試験にて評価した。在宅サービス介入群では医学的にも医療経済的にも有用と証明された。さらに携帯機器の高性能化に対応し、テレビ会議用システムを改良したBluetooth機能などを附随したスマートフォン対応遠隔診療用デバイスを作成し、それに伴う技術的問題や法的問題に対処した。
We performed a randomized controlled study to evaluate the usefulness of telemonitoring system for diabetic patients using a mobile phone. The patients sent data of their body weight, amount of exercise, and blood pressure etc and received the guidance of　nutrition and exercise. The present study demonstrated the usefulness of telemonitoring system for diabetic patients both economically and medically. We also developed novel type of telemonitoring system with TV monitor and Bluetooth function, by which patient’s data can be automatically transmitted. We also dealt with some technical and legal problems associated with the new system.
